Yet another joke website?! So why do it? Admittedly, there are a lot of joke and humor sites out there are, and well, basically we’re not always laughing with them. AGuyWalkedIntoABar.com aims to preserve funny stories and jokes, in a world of every decreasing attention span.

This site was originally created as a personal side project, to keep record of all the jokes that are spoken from friend to friend, between coworkers, passed down from generation to generation, etc., classify it and let people rate what they laughed out-loud at, or fell asleep reading. I personally love jokes, but have a horrible memory for them, hence this site.

We want to be sensitive to material that does have an author, or owner who cares. If there is material that is copyrighted, please let us know and we’ll give credit (note or link to said person), or sadly remove it if asked. Ideally we want to give credit to the savvy individual who came up with the material, and provide a record of it, where others can find out.

Rating the joke: anyone can do it!

Some of the jokes are less than funny. well, rate them! if a joke has too many 1 star ratings, we’ll consider removing it. We want a site with quality humor.

Can I add content? definitely maybe!!! Not everyone can post jokes directly. It’s only open to invite at the moment, but if you love jokes and feel like you have a million of them, and enjoy the site, let us know.

If you have ideas on how to make the site better, then we’d love to hear those too. there is a lot of development in progress, examples include a directory of authors/contributors, using and viewing the content on your own site, deals with independent film houses for short films, etc. so stay tuned!
